Community & Support

Where is the community?

You can find our active community in different places. You can get involved in our community yourself on different levels and in several areas.

You can fork our repositories and get your hands dirty by coding your own plugins or improve the B3 core. We host our code on www.github.com. The main repositories holding the source code are the stable repository and the bleeding edge repository.

There are multiple developers and enthusiasts who have a B3 repository on their own, it's always fun to look at other additions and plugin repositories. Members that went ahead and forked our repositories can be found here. Do you want to get involved too? Check our project vacancies here.

How about support?

Support is also a community effort, you can get support in our forums and our documentation FAQ.

Before you start a topic in the forums, make sure you have already read the documentation and FAQ. Then search the forums for similar questions that might hold the answer to your question. Also the Support Instructions and Support disclaimer are good knowledge and they are your handbag when you enter the forums.

Groupware

For the more indepth discussions and testing environment we recently started using the Elgg groupware package at groupware.bigbrotherbot.net. On that part of our site you can become a member of i.e. our beta testers group and gain access to our beta releases. That's also the place where you can discuss beta issues and share your ideas and findings with other beta testers. There will be more groups available for you to participate in when this package has become more adapted in our community.

Free of charge?

Yes, as long as we can, we will keep B3 free of charge. That doesn't mean that you can't help out! You can always donate a few bucks to the project so we can pay for our hosting plan and develop B3 support for new games. Don't hesitate to donate.

You can also decide to contribute in other ways. Even a logo on your website linking to ours is a big help to us!

Or perhaps you want to become a community hero and help others (new B3 users) with B3... just get involved and we'll notice you!
