[RELEASE] B3 v1.8.1 (Seda) - BF3 R20 update

B3 version 1.8.1 available for download.

Game update for BF3 server R20:
- implementation of private messaging
- implementation of bigtext (ie. &rules)
- commands can be prefixed with '/' additionally to the usual '!' prefix to hide your command. ie: /help and !help both work

News:
- ctime plugin is now a standard subplugin of xlrstats and therefore automatically included in xlrstats. (Make sure you disable/remove ctime from your b3.xml if you are currently using it.)
- all xlrstats tables are now installed/updated automatically with B3, no more seperate installation.

Upgrade Notice :
- Changes where made to the XLRstats tables. Use the b3_run --update command to have the updates executed, or execute the b3-update-1.8.1.sql script in phpmyadmin
- changes to b3.xml for BF3 users. Two new settings : big_b3_private_responses & big_msg_duration

Direct (un)banning through the player repository webfront Echelon version 1:
Echelon v1 was modified for BF3 servers to be able to directly ban/unban through the webfront. This feature was developed by Mariodu62 and you can find all the info in this topic: http://bit.ly/zQeAw6

- BF3: a new event is available to plugin developpers : EVT_GAMESERVER_CONNECT which is triggered once B3 successfully connected to the BF3 game server.
- UrbanTerror: B3 now sends event EVT_CLIENT_UNBAN and also sends a new event EVT_SURVIVOR_WIN

B3 Groups - a new venture

Hey everybody, with the upcoming beta for B3 version (v1.8.0b) we've installed a new social engine where we will be testing groups for B3.

Ehm, what's that? ...I can hear you think... Well it's a new approach that we want to try for our groups like for instance our beta testers group.

Currently we manage our groups in this forum package, but managing a large group can be a bit tedious and become foggy over time.

That is why we want to start using http://groupware.bigbrotherbot.net as a (beta)test ground for our next beta release v1.8.0b.

Joining the beta testers group is open for all, so anybody with beta-testing aspirations can register for this group. Once registered there is room for beta discussions, pages, blogs and files. That will be the place where we will upload our beta releases for the group to test.

Are you a beta tester and want to both test the new B3 beta and the groupware package? Great! Join us there for an account and become a member of the 'B3 Beta Testers'

Join in, participate in the groups that you like, create your own groups (for instance to discuss game specific administration or B3 topics) and become friends with us!
